Hi…. I have never done this before so please bare with me as I’m still learning and figuring this stuff out. I’m not looking to make any money, just really needed a place to vent.
I really don’t know how or where to start…. A little about me, I’m 38 almost 39 (a little later this month), and live in a 2 bedroom apt with my 2 yrs old son, and my 30 yrs old boyfriend of almost 2 yrs now. I have 2 other boys as well they just unfortunately don’t live me, they are 14 and 18.
My past involves a lot of stupidity, drugs, alcohol, and did I mention stupidity. Dating stupid guys and going through a lot of stupid shit. With that being said, now that for the most part being done with all the stupid shit I am still growing from the consequences of the stupid shit. Let me give you an example, because my dad left me when I was younger, and because I let so many guys treat me with no respect and abuse me, I now have issues thinking same shit is going to happen with the current boyfriend. My brain is good at twisting ANYTHING to my boyfriend is out cheating or talking to other girls.
Now Kyle the current boyfriend is not perfect, he has not physically cheated on me, but I have caught him having in appropriate conversations with other females on more than one occassion. Why even stay with him?
I love the person he is and the person I see him growing into, are you perfect? This is my opinion and out take on relationships and marriage: people give up way too easily, people forget that NO ONE is perfect. Relationships are work and hard but if you both feel and want the same you BOTH work for it. You don’t just give up and run because it gets hard, you really think back in the day people didn’t cheat on eachother? I guarantee there were some that did, and the couples worked through it. Now I’m not saying that working through a cheating spouse is for everyone there are always circumstances to each situation. These are just my personal thoughts on it all. For me personally in my situation I actually can see Kyle making an effort to change, and that is what makes me stay. Our first year was pretty bumpy, especially after only 4 months of dating we decided to move to Colorado together. We have grown so much as a couple and individually that it makes me want to see where we can go in the future.
Well I better get some breakfast for my little guy, he doesn’t seem to have much patience this morning. I don’t know if I will continue or keep up with this blog yet… If you have any thoughts at this point or think I would just be better off writing a journal let me know…… Xoxo
